Interaction

The DICOM Vision Viewer has 3 primary modes of interaction: Rotate, Pan and Zoom. Instructions on how to carry out these interactions depends on your input device. DICOM Vision supports a Mouse, a Trackpad for Macbooks or a Touchpad for Windows laptops. Use the tables below as a reference.

Mouse

RotatePanZoomImage SliceN/ALeft-Click on the slice in view and drag.Right-Click on the slice in view, and drag up to zoom in, or drag down to zoom out.

Alternatively, move the the scroll wheel up to zoom in, or down to zoom out.
VolumeLeft-Click and drag across the viewer in the direction that you want the volume to rotate.Middle-Click (Scroll Wheel) and drag across the viewer to the position that you want to place the volume.Right-Click on the volume, and drag up to zoom in, or drag down to zoom out.

Alternatively, move the the scroll wheel up to zoom in, or down to zoom out.
GeometryLeft-Click and drag across the viewer in the direction that you want the model to rotate.Middle-Click (Scroll Wheel) and drag across the viewer to the position that you want to place the model.Right-Click on the model, and drag up to zoom in, or drag down to zoom out.

Alternatively, move the the scroll wheel up to zoom in, or down to zoom out.

Trackpad (Mac)

Touchpad (Windows)

Recommendation

DICOM Vision is best experienced with a Mouse. As you will notice from the tables above, a Mouse is the only device capable of all three interactions (Rotate, Pan and Zoom) in 3D. When using a trackpad/touchpad, the Pan interaction is unavailable for 3D Interactions.
